  37. I've put some thought into this, and I still can't agree.  If you had the
  38. option of spending 100 quid for a RAM expansion, or 200 quid for a full 1200,
  39. which would you go for?  I know what *I* went for.. ;)

  41. Remember, also, the RAM is going to cost at least 50 quid for any decent
  42. amount.  I paid the equiv. of 90 pounds for my 8Mb SIMM, so why not go the
  43. whole hog?  You'd soon find a >2Mb CD32 a complete pain without a floppy/HD to
  44. save to.

  46. When I took my 2000 to be checked over a few days ago, I managed to get along
  47. with my CD32 - I had Thor installed, and used Aweb to surf the net for about
  48. three days until I could retrieve the 2000.  Point being, it worked quite well
  49. (if a lot slower than the 040...).
